For the past five years, friends from the class of 1981, 1980 and 1979 have been gathering for a golf outing in memory of Richard Nichols who passed away peacefully September 27, 2012. Nick was larger then life in both stature and character. A dear friend to many in our class. The outing has brought many of us together to share our memorable moments with Nick.

Much credit goes to Joe Brunet for organizing the event. The fall event starts with 9 holes of golf at Amesbury Country Club and ends with a social gathering at Rings Island Marina.

This year there will be a BBQ onsite at Amesbury Country Club following the golf outing. The BBQ will be provided by Big Rib BBQ and will include brisket, ribs, smoked sausage, wings, coleslaw, corn brean and baked beans.

Nick leaves behind his loving wife Joanne and their beautiful children Joanna, Sarah and Richie. We have been very fortunate to have their participation in the event.

We look forward to many more successful outings. Nick’s life had an impact on a lot of people. We invite all of you to attend this event in the future.
